I'm honestly feeling quite conflicted between which kind of structure would be better: A corporate hierarchy or a peer-to-peer network. So I was reading this article on C4SS and it gave an interest idea of blending agorism with anarcho-syndicalism by unionizing private companies that are in the white markets and effectively converting them into cooperatives for the counter-economy through the majority creating them by unions.

While I do think this strategy is clever, at the same time I'm not a fan of it because it's essentially micro-democracies, not to mention an infringement on the private property rights of the employers. I do agree with SEK3 believing that corporate hierarchies such as franchises can be a product of corporate welfare, but at the same, depending on how vertically integrated and large a corporation is, I can see it being quite a headache to convert a business into a worker co-op. My take is that whether to choose a hierarchy or a network depends on a variety of factors, such as vertical integration that I mentioned, the size of the company, as well as the types of incentives. For instance, it would be easy for mutual aid networks that replace social safety nets to be P2P because they typically focus on one product or industry, and would most likely rely on donations, meaning incentives would be different. On the other hand, more broad industries, such as a privatized justice system of private police, arbitration services, and even private jails would be better off being hierarchical in nature due to it having more scalability, resulting in an emphasis on the signals of profits, prices, and losses to ensure its business continues.
