40% higher amount of merchants accepting Bitcoin on the @BTC Map than it was in the beginning of 2024. Started this year with 9,727 merchants on the map, and it increased to 13,673 merchants by the end of 2024 🎉 In 2025 more help is needed! Keep spending your sats at merchants accepting your sats and reverify them on the map. And of course keep orange pilling the merchants not accepting yet. Most people HODL their sats instead of spending a portion. However, spending Bitcoin can save you money over time if you keep most of your savings in Bitcoin rather than local currency. As Bitcoin's value rises overall, the amount of local currency needed to refill your Bitcoin wallet decreases, allowing you to cover expenses while still benefiting from its long-term growth. This way, you can use Bitcoin for daily spending without sacrificing its store-of-value potential. A lesson I learned from @Patrick van der Meijde his guest post. Ps. Both The Netherlands and Arnhem are in the top 10. we are a small country, but with really nice Bitcoin communities 🤩

Hi @OVO . Great software. Recently discovered it thanks to NWC mention by @Alby . I have a few questions. 1) Is it possible to translate it into Dutch? I couldn't find it at the Git readme. 2) Do you also plan to add more advanced Point of Sale functionalities such as showing products/pricing? I would love to see it with Nostr to store PoS data so other wallets can use it as well. Including read-only npub 'login' so staff won't be able to transfer funds away.
