@jack My friend Reyna at MPBTC posted a clip of you speaking about adoption on X and I so agree and feel you. But no one speaks of the issue I screen shot in my reply. This is a huge issue. The general public will go to an exchange to buy bitcoin. They are not going to fly somewhere, or find a local meetup and do some hushed exchange P2P (and some people here in ES are getting scammed that way). Bitcoin transactions need to be tax free. I am with a bunch of Anarchists and I get it. But looking down one’s nose at people for not choosing to throw caution to the wind and go 100% BTC KYC free is not going to get enough people there and the judgement gets old. I didn’t go to a fundraiser because the only thing on the menu was Tomohawk (I don’t know how to spell it) steak. We need to make this accessible. We need to make this easy. I thought of giving my nephew a hardware wallet with some BTC and I have to make a choice. KYC or no KYC. This is absurd. It needs to change and I don’t know how to foster what I want to see. It will happen more smoothly though if BTC is tax free. Otherwise people are left with a harsh choice. And most people won’t make that choice. They are too scared. And I think it unkind to call them sheep.
