Just me, vibe coding a Mac app (in Swift, with ChatGPT & probably going to have it go to war with Gemini LOL) to turn Bluetooth speakers with built-in mics into full-duplex intercoms/radios with any Mac. And maybe later, an Android app to connect to the Mac app & have it be the walkie-talkie. Done a bit of Kotlin Android app work that I have to confirm fixes a broken part of another project, so getting started in iOS development will come even later...
Idea is to plug my Bluetooth speaker+mic in to the wall, next to a door or maybe even in an outside enclosure, then all people have to do is walk up to it & talk to me without pressing anything.
Awhile ago, I made a ringdown phone (like you see between bullpens & dugouts, you just pick up one side & the other side instantly rings) with stock SIP adapter firmware & software, but would have to run wires to have either a corded phone or make a cordless handset wired to AC/DC adapter instead of battery+cradle outside. The ringdown works, at least, for me to have a SIP app always on me everywhere, and any of our old cordless phones spread throughout the house can ring my app just by pressing the button for a dial tone, or I can dial their extension from my app to ring them all at once.
