Too many people on here have shown their true colors. Laziness and fiat profiteering. 🫡 nostr wasn’t the social media to replace them all.. it’s the last social media you use before you realize that even with the “right” platform, the users are all still retarded and it’s best to just stay off all social media.

For all of known history until the last few years, consumers relied on incomplete data for their purchasing decisions. Reviews are big money because people can’t trust if a company says “we’re the best”, but can trust random customers who aren’t incentivized to lie. Now reviews have become gamified and bots and AI fill the space. Platforms like tv and radio offered advertisements but you couldn’t tune into the radio to hear real customer reviews or to leave a review. Then the internet came about and power was consolidated through convenience of centralization. You could see ads for things on platforms like Facebook and you could post your reviews. For a time you could even comment on ads directly. Most advertisers block comments now. Platforms will censor. Review software often buries bad reviews. Until now. Now there’s nostr. Companies can advertise, I can comment and review. The companies can mute me, and so can other users. However if a user wants a review without censorship, it’s freely available. Nostr is and will continue to become the most trusted marketplace for serious businesses.

How do you guys avoid getting sucked into each conspiracy theory? I usually pull myself back out within a day or less, but how do you guys not spiral down every conspiracy drain you pass? 😂😂 I quit twitter which helped a lot but now I bounce back and forth between primal and Nostur. Primal deletes but won’t mute. Nostur mutes but won’t delete. I need a Butters to guide me through the internet or better yet maybe just more distractions to get off the internet. Still few weeks of crazy overtime until a bit of reprieve… Books! Books and this mmorpg. I’m also psyched cuz I want to make an “abundance version” where the rarity of items come more from the number of options of customization rather than from rarity of drops like % likelihood of a rare drop or a time delay on drops. I’m curious if that’ll make it more fun or less. 🫡 … I wonder if running a haven relay would give me more control over muted and deletes…

I have a fun new project. There’s a single player Diablo style game that I’m trying to write a multiplayer wrapper for. I’m trying to turn it into an MMORPG with nostr kind session discovery and ngit for sharing user created maps, monsters and inventory. The arbitrary release date is July 18. I’ll either publish the wrapper or wherever I get with it by that point and someone can fable vibe code it and beat me to it. I’m pretty excited though.

Just rewatched the Oliviera vs Holloway BMF fight and wow, Charles is technically a great grappler but my god does he know how to bore the ever loving hell out of the crowd. I spent the whole time praying Max would get a chance to put him to sleep. Five rounds later I was still bored, next to nothing happened to either fighter, and Oliviera walked out technically winning by sucking all the fun and excitement out of the place. He is the UEV, Ultimate Energy Vampire.
