an interesting point about “agentic engineering” right now (more professional vibe coding) is that experienced devs who can control the agents better seem to have a better experience, i wonder which app/company will be the first to put an LLM in between you and the agent though, to turn natural language into... posts.j4ck.xyz

Aside from the obvious features, like replacing Spotlight search, I think Raycast Focus is one of my favourite features. It lets you block apps and sites through categories (e.g. socials) and adds a pomodoro-like timer to the menu bar. Actually helps me study! Forgot about it until recently!

Claude, just in their app, is crazy good at making PDFs! I’ve just been using it to make me fake papers on topics I’m struggling on for my A Levels. I pass in the specification and the topic so it can make me questions on it. Formatted really nice too, it looks professional!!

interesting new post from anthropic, announcing a preview model which excels in cybersec. i feel like a lot of people that will benefit from this are also the biggest AI haters / critics red.anthropic.com/2026/myth…

i’ve been watching/listening to this podcast episode and it’s really interesting what Simon does with LLMs. using it for fun experiments, proving that “vibe coding” isn’t all bad and can actually make pretty great results when harnessed with tests, etc. www.youtube.com/watch

"This means the next edition of the laptop should have an increased 12GB of RAM, as that is how much unified memory the chip has in the iPhone 17 Pro models." it feels like every time I buy a Mac (only twice!) the NEXT model that released has had a RAM increase without a price increase (Mac mini M2 vs M4) - but this is def good for people getting the next Neo. RAM hasn’t been a huge issue for me tbh, but I do notice it occasionally using 3-4GB swap whilst only using slightly above 7GB of real RAM. www.macrumors.com/2026/04/0…

📍 Plemont JE some photos i shot today! no edits, directly from the camera -- still trying to find how to use the settings though 🥲 #grainsocial [alt 1] A hazy seascape featuring choppy blue-green water in the foreground. In the distance, a long, flat coastal landmass sits under a pale, overcast sky. The horizon is misty, blurring the line between the sea, the distant cliffs, and the atmosphere. In the distance, a small island sits on the horizon under a clear blue sky with light, wispy clouds. for some reason there’s a ton of asian hornets here, saw another when we went out earlier.. didn’t wanna get too close but i got this pic lol image [alt 1] A close-up, overhead view of an Asian hornet resting on a patch of low-growing green and reddish alpine plants nestled among light-colored, gravelly soil and coarse sand in Jersey, Channel Islands. The hornet displays its characteristic dark body and yellow-tipped legs against the rocky ground.
