Just finished “Lost on a Mountain in Maine” on Prime and it was powerful. As a father of one boy and another baby on the way in November, it hit me hard. I’ve got to do better of showing the proof of work to make being a better father and husband my number one priority. It’s easy to give up and just want to stick him in front of the tv or appease whatever is causing the meltdown rather than helping him learn. You have to fix yourself first to be able to properly raise another human. Time to get to work!

Getting back into X3 and general movement. Results aren’t great yet, but consistent, daily improvement will get me there.

Anyone else find it hard to escape the fiat mindset? You grow up in a system that inflates your money away, and you feel the pressure to find the next “big thing” (e.g McDonalds, Apple, Amazon) so you can get rich and have money.
It can be hard to escape that mindset and be content with humbly stacking sats and knowing that if I continue saving on the Bitcoin Standard, I’ll be just fine and my family will be comfortable.
Moving back into “town” soon and going to miss this view each morning! It’s what is best for my wife and kids though, and thankfully it’s still a small “no stop lights” kind of town

Would like to put “fun money” for my wife and I on @strike and convert to Bitcoin (say $250/mo) that we can spend on whatever without needing permission for it to be in our budget.
However, every time we spend we incur a taxable event. How on earth are we supposed to track capital gains/losses on all of these purchases?
