Some people say Nostr isn’t truly free. Others laugh at the idea of building here at all. Some follow dollars, not protocols. And many simply choose different paths — based on different values, priorities, or timing. That’s okay. Freedom means people can walk away. Or ignore you. Or mock you. Or build somewhere else. The very fact that we can have these disagreements in public, across open relays, without permission, is already proof of concept. Nostr isn’t perfect — not yet. It’s not "uncensorable" by magic. But it is open, permissionless, decentralized by design, and composable. And that’s more than most protocols can say today. The best builders don’t just follow VC dollars — they build infrastructure for the future. That takes time. And conviction. And a low time preference. So no, Nostr isn’t for everyone right now. But for those who see what’s coming, that’s exactly why it matters.
