A huge unlock for society would be to select for individuals who do not exhibit high scores for personality disorders like narcissism/borderline/psychopathy/etc.
There is no political system that can survive when power selects for these sorts of individuals.

“In a world where abundance is possible, it is a flawed system that gives rise to extreme inequality. The output of that inequality will lead to a negative feedback loop of more extremism.”
@Jeff Booth
We are returning to the age of empire. Keep your mind whole and focus on what you control.
“Be indifferent to events beyond the will’s control.” - Epictetus
“He dies for lack of discipline, and because of his great folly he is lost.” - Proverbs 5:21-23
I love the movie The Matrix, and as an elder-millennial (whatever that really even means) I appreciate that “pilling” has become part of the normal social parlance. In most circumstances, people want to “pill” themselves - red-pilling, black-pilling, white-pilling (I hesitate to ask about more colors honestly). But for some reason, aside from us few who came to Bitcoin on our own, orange-pilling others seems so difficult - why?
As Bitcoiners we have a noble objective and are genuinely enthusiastic about helping those we love and care about - but often it feels like we are bringing fire to people who are cold and they opt to pour water on it.
Obviously the concepts of Bitcoin are difficult to discern, as is the problem it purports to solve, but I think there is a giant population of people (most maybe) that simply hate change. They are so terrified of their known world changing that they are willing to forego truth for the comfort of the known. They champion certainty over curiosity. When they finally accept the truth of a thing, often it’s only because the truth has become the rule.
I would love to find a better way to reach these people in my life - until then I will keep building my boat out of sats and hope there’s room for everyone whenever the flood does come.

“You…are…a particle of God himself.”
Behave accordingly.

I read The Black Company series years ago when I was in college and decided to return to them recently with the announcement that Glen Cook would be adding new books to the series.
Most people seem to hate this last one, Port of Shadows, but I thought it was a fun return and found it a quick and easy read with an interesting payoff/conclusion.
Sprinkling in some gritty fantasy books lately has really improved my pace and volume of reading. I usually am reading something heavy or complex (at least to me) so having other books to balance that has been really helpful. Sometimes mixing it up and revisiting things you enjoyed from the past is exactly what is needed.

Every year we are fortunate enough to sell out of honey quickly, but I try to keep a few jars during the off-season in case someone calls or as gifts.
It’s always good to keep a little extra for the new year. I’m hoping to make 2026 quieter - more about the actual world than the digital world that is screaming about things I can’t control.
Here’s to the amazing little bees that create this honey. Im going to try and do the same myself and turn this year into more sats and more awesome life experiences

I bought more Bitcoin today. Highly recommend.
When a female mentions she is/has done shadow work I never can decide if I should be turned on or terrified.
Read Hoppe. Read Hayek. Read Menger. Read Spooner. Read Sowell. Read Ron Paul. Read Seneca & Epictetus. Read Maslow. Read Arendt. Read Dostoyevsky & Nietzsche. Read Camus. Read Mises. Read Rand. Read Mencken (twice).
Sometimes I have a mental barrier to reading, but I find whenever I force myself to sit and read Epictetus, I feel instantly better and more calm. I wonder why I don’t read it twice a day honestly. It is genuinely therapeutic.
