I live on 14.5 acres in Amish country in Ohio. I have raised chickens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits & sheep. I’ve planted cherries, hazelnuts, peaches, mulberries, paw paws, apples, pears & nectarines. I garden (badly) but I am learning more every year. I work remotely for a bank as a mortgage underwriter- fingers crossed I am still doing that when you read this.
I hunt on my land - have gotten 5 deer since I moved out here. Into everything homesteading.

It’s here! Sunflower wide open & saying hello to the morning. Today started out with some drama as my shelties fiend the neighbors horses in my front hayfield at 4 am. Of course the shelties barked their fool head off & drove the horses to the road so we had to find out which neighbor forgot to secure the gate, lol.

Work is going good. We launched a new OS Monday, I’m the early adopter of the system & I have my 1st loan going through the process.

Morning garden pic is more damage from the hail storm. My basil is bruised. Little black splotches that were not there the night before the storm showed up yesterday morning.

We had a devastating hail storm last night, so garden pic is of the damage. Lots of holes in big leaves. The sunflower took the brunt of it, but this comfrey has also taken a hit
