Gm Nostr! I could really use some prayers today for my mother, who's going under some procedures today to hopefully get her out of Afib, which she's been in for over a week now. Also has pneumonia in one lung and is struggling with COPD on top of it all. She's been in the hospital for 3 days now and is not responding to any of the meds to reverse the Afib. I know none of us owe each other anything but I just ask you keep her in your thoughts and prayers today. Crunchy mornings!

If was a interesting hunting season here in the midwest this season. 3 mins after legal shooting light, through the dense fog, 120 yards, lung shot, with a rifle platform he really hasn't shot much and doesn't have alot of experience with. Damn proud of my 14 year old! His first 🦌 and so many great memories made!! We spent some time going over ballistic data so he could understand the cartridge and how the bullet would fly, I'd say it paid off, especially only shooting at a silhouette in the fog. I watched through the binos as he dropped immediately. Definitely a proud dad moment. The previous day he was carrying the 12g cause i think the 45-70 was slightly intimidating then suddenly he said he wanted to use the big guy! From taking the animal to processing it into something we enjoy as a food really is becoming a lost art. Yes, it takes time Yes, it takes a certain level of skill and patience, but it's worth it. Skills I plan on passing onto my children so they never have to rely on a locker!
