Today we had to say goodbye to Betty White Holstein, our Boxer. Betty was diagnosed with mast cell carcinoma last June. In January we had to put her on a chemotherapy pill. The last two weeks she went downhill fast. We want to thank Kindred Journey Veterinary End-of-Life Care Dr. Sierra for the compassionate attention she gave Betty. And thanks to those of you in Nostrland who sent up prayers for us. They do help and are appreciated. #nostr #grownostr #boxermom #boxers

Betty’s cancer has progressed, even with treatment, to the point we had to make the hard decision. So, her last day will be Friday. Some moments she seems fine. Other moments are very upsetting. Yesterday she had three seizures. Today one of the cancer sores on her hip looks deep. There isn’t a cure. She won’t improve. I hate this part of life. #nostr #grownostr #boxermom #dogs

My father has melanoma, and passed the fair-skin plague to me. I haven’t had a melanoma yet but have had basal cell removed several times. Once at my eye.
