I'll probably wait an extra year after they release on Motorola. They said it would be at least a year after their first lineup that any kind of budget model Motorolas with Graphene os go into production.

Wow.

And why did they remove it? What's your guess? Backdoor?

Cost cutting in favour of trying to profit with their AI product. It's just that one feature despite security improving a lot elsewhere. They added a weird Gemini colored LED to the back of the new phones. They moved to a new generation processor and they never used MTE in production in the previous phones for almost all of the OS for the devices they had it, being limited to Android's Advanced Protection feature. It's likely they stopped caring about it. Apple has it in some places on their latest iPhones and is always on for iOS.

There will be support for Motorola devices in the future as per our partnership announcement. With MTE coming into Snapdragon processors more they could open up the walls for other devices even without our initial involvement.

I will wait that a Graphene OS be available in many Motorola devices.
