X (formerly Twitter) just C&D'd Nitter / XCancel: just a lil privacy frontend for reading(!) tweets: no JS, no ads, no account, your browser never spoke to Twitter. That meant no IP tracking and no JS fingerprint. Not even posting #FreeSpeech™ - just fckg seeing someone's speech without being logged. That's the thing they shut down. Killing that is a new low. Surveillance always needs fresh blood. FYI, during the shutdown, goyimx.com and x.n0g.xyz continued working just fine. I took every other Nitter instance out of my libredirect carousel and will not be re-adding them. Shutting down your instance because *someone else* received a form letter is a bitch move. I understand the main Nitter instance, but the sheer multitude of people, including the one operating via Tor hidden service, that also followed suit quite stunned me.
