That's not at all true, and I will state this as an unfortunate side effect of the intrusion or "the state" into everything. Morals aren't governed by state law. Doxxing someone is wrong in nearly all cases. That's not something codified into most laws, but it still doesn't make it right. State laws often carry burdens that most aren't aware of. Libel is a civil matter. There are fairly well established precedents for handling this sort of thing. It is harder to pursue given the nature of the locations (or lack of knowledge of those locations) of certain parties.

"doxing is wrong" Ah that's your answer to pedophiles. "Don't dox the pedophiles is wrong" Just let them continue to share csam on nostr and pretend the problem doesn't exist even though every new user complains about it before leaving and never coming back
Doxxing is wrong. Child abusers should be feed feet first into wood chippers. Those two statements are not at odds with each other. Also, none of that is applicable to this particular case. A serious allegation requires extensive, clear, undeniable proof. There's been none levied against the grinder, as far as I can tell. There's far more evidence for the pedos on primal, and yet no one has done much about that, and, from a regular protocol user, there's nothing much that can be done except mute the pedos. Trying to go on a crusade to "do something" ends up ruining everything for everyone. There's no authorities to appeal to. There's no one that can pull the plug on an account since they don't exist in the first place. This is the worst part of protocols that emphasize permissionless, paueronomous interaction. What's your solution?
