Of all the exciting things happening on Nostr, one big disappointment for me is the lack of good functionality of Fediverse bridges like Mostr and Momostr. The Fediverse has something like 500k DAU's vs Nostr's ~10K. If we're really interested in mainstream adoption, it would seem like a better strategy to encourage cross-platform connectivity with the Fediverse vs our occasional "flirtation" with the "X girlfriend" that clearly doesn't care about us. Alex Gleason made a passionate case for the Mostr bridge 2 years ago (which might as well have been paleolithic era in Nostr time), but seems to have moved on to other projects... And I'm not sure who's responsible for Momostr. The state of these bridges today is that 1. they "work" to surface posts on your feed, but 2. You have no idea if you comment or reply whether anyone on the other end will see it Part (2) is the real killer for communication, and seems like it's easily fixed. Isn't is technically feasible to put some kind of badge or icon or some other way of surfacing whether or not (a) said instance federates with the bridge, and (b) whether or not the person on the other end will actually see your post? I just don't understand why no one on Nostr seems to care about this.

Not to be conspiratorial, but I kinda suspect politics at play here... With most of Nostr reflecting a "right-leaning" culture of Bitcoin, while the Fediverse being pretty heavily left-influenced. I also don't necessarily want to absolve the Fediverse, in that many instances don't federate with the bridges... But plenty of instances do Federate, yet when I reply to posts, I don't see my comment show up when I go to said instance outside of Nostr.
