A strong calling transcends the urge to earn for a living. It's beyond earthly matters as it comes from an eternal place that is not bound to our material plane where living often means survival.
Sometimes a calling will provide necessities. Sometimes it won't. I'd encourage to not attach it to be sufficient in all regards, when it's you just beginning to learn the language of the universe.
So there are probably no examples of people that have followed their callings and haven't received what they deserved.

The idea of receiving what we deserve can be tricky. Life doesn’t always reward effort in visible ways. But even when a calling doesn’t meet every material need, it can bring a sense of meaning that nothing else does.
