You're clueless. Mosques are commonly used by the regime as ammo depots and bases, sometimes even as places to detain protesters. I know because I experienced it all (in the 2022 protests). and, it's not limited to mosques. Any venues or large spaces that can be reinforced with guards and blockades will be used.
