What makes it so difficult for people to change their mind about something?
I get it — ego, pride, etc.— but why is it a default setting? Why is asking questions in an attempt to seek objective truth so taboo?
I guess we can blame the education system, but man, it’s crazy to see such a large cohort of people who think they are thinking for themselves, yet are unwilling to change their stance on anything.
I question my convictions probably too much, but in an effort to maintain truth. It’s not easy, but it’s necessary to continue to live in reality.

Because it takes two to tango.
When dealing with matters of truth, it’s important to understand that truth doesn’t require anyone’s participation in order to exist. If it’s true, then it’s true.
It mainly comes down to ego and the humility required to live and be in acceptance of truth.
