It is basic math really. Any "expert" saying otherwise is no different from the social distancing "experts" a couple of years ago.
US-Iran war is very different because there is no shared direct land border, so it is more dependant on remote fire than Ukraine-Russia war.

Maybe this is the point, always needed good reason to debase.
The general logic seems reasonable, though a few basic searches suggest that THAADs are not commonly used for shooting down drones like these, as they're the wrong technology. Which makes me question how much expertise he has on the topic.
