I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t surprised with his take as well. I’m also conflicted because I’m opposed to core v30 & and BIP 444, but I’m ok with knots and keeping the data size at 83bytes, rather than getting rid of it all together. Simple because that might leave room for a work around that’s even more dangerous. Granted my understanding on the subject is not where I would like it to be but that’s my current understanding at the moment. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong in anyway.
