Theyโve been the go-to reference for a lot of the post punk revival that started in London in 2019/20. The original Black Country, New Road material drove the most comparisons, but I think it was a little overdone (critics thought comparisons made them sound clever imo). To me, Slint sit very squarely in Gen X apathy and I love it.

I discovered them in the mid-90s, not sure how, probably just found their CD (they only released two albums) in a record shop. I later learned they were from Louisville, where I lived as a kid.
This article came out around 20 years later. Damn, I feel old now.
