Yeah that’s entirely true The “extreme polarization of our country” is in many ways a bullshit narrative, spewed and sold for clicks. Sure, the farthest ends of the bell curve are the loudest and most extreme, but they make up a tiny percentage of actual people. It’s a shame they get so much attention. But it’s because the incentives around media are broken, with anger- and fear-inducing clickbait content driving the most engagement and therefore revenue. If only there was a digital communication protocol out there that allowed people and companies to produce content that was valued for its quality, and could somehow incentivize honest, transparent, authentic journalism and social activity……………….
