Because of the OP_RETURN debate which is a huge concern regarding the blockchain bloat. Running Bitcoin Knots allows node operators to filter out garbage and stay minimalistic. #Bitcoin is money and adding additional garbage to a TX is just crazy!
I've been learning about it all day and I have switched to knots.
