My spouse and I recently had our first child (their 1st my 4th). I feel like I am expected to go back to work quickly. I feel like people think it’s weird that I want to stay home and help my partner raise our child. They have the wrong unit of account.

This is a struggle in a non agrarian community. I have thought about this a lot, I am not sure the best way to involve my children in my work when most of my work is looking into the abis of a screen, meeting, or university lectures. I bring them in when I can, but I want my children maximally involved in my life.
