☝️this. I'll add that Primal gets there counts from a cache server, while damus calculate on the fly from your relays, contributing to the huge difference. npub.world gives a more accurate count, not including bots and scam accounts.

Yes, Damus has live counts. The number is actually more like "followers on relays you are currently subscribed to". So, if you sent out a note right this minute, from Damus, those are the npubs you could possibly reach.
