Thanks to Techlore i heard about @Obscura VPN
It seems very interesting as it does a multi-hop where you pay them with #Monero, and they know that you have paid for their service, but then they send your traffic to Mulvad, and Mulvad knows what your traffic is, but doesn't know who you are other than that, you are an Obscura user.
Now, for me personally, I use a service called Control-D as a DNS filter to kill ads, malware, trackers, etc and that uses DoT which does not work in combination with a VPN. So I would have to make sure that I can get the same functionality after the VPN instead of before it because I am not willing to give that up.

They are very similar. Pihole is local, controld is a service
I haven't had a lot of success with Pi-Hole actually blocking add, despite updating lists of blocked domains, I am also using as my DNS. I could be using it wrong.
