Only works if both forks survive long enough to be listed on exchanges + exchanges support them.
Also how will you know which fork will win? You wont with 100% certainty. So, pick your fork-support wisely....
Another strategy: 1.) all coins in self custody, cold storage, then...... 2.) do nothing - act like your in a coma for a year or so

If you are the sort to pay taxes its also worth considering waiting a year so it's long-term cap gains.

There was a time briefly where you could swap 1 BCH for .5 btc
Coinbase just straight supported the fork with little notice and the market went wild.
For every single Bitcoin fork so far it was easy to know which one will win with 100% certainty. This is unlikely to change soon.
