Meh. Tether is the entire reason bitcoin is priced at what it is. The two are inseparable. I don’t care for other stuff but stable coins pretty much make the bitcoin market what it is today. It’s how most people get onboarded to bitcoin.

I really don't see how a link that allows people to get and use bitcoin is a problem.
And I bet pretty much anybody here knows some people who need easier ramps to use bitcoin. From what I hear people here say it's actually one of the main things that prevents zapping.
And I bet anybody here interacts with some entity that sells bitcoin for fiat. We all work to make this less and less but we don't need to lie about it. Any bitcoin tool invites more people to join I wish we would be more constructive about achieving the goal.

From what I understand it's just about receiving bitcoin by selling shitcoins through swap services. We don't deal with shitcoins directly in the app so that's perfectly fine from my point of view.

I'm not that triggered. Again, shitcoins are idiotic scams, but they pale in comparison to the fiat ones. So far, fiat shitcoins have done a lot to support Bitcoin's liquidity in the first place and nobody is crying against p2p echanges while they are also shitcoins casinos according to you.
Allowing people to top-up from shitcoin seems ok. At the end it's just about buying bitcoin. Swapping out for shitcoins would be cringe though, and would indeed start the shitcoin casino thing you are mentionning.
Some people in the rat race are paid in stable coins or worse and need to swap it asap. It's a good tool for that.
Do not confuse bitcoin p2p exchanges with fixedfloat shitcoin casino.

That exchange cannot be done if somebody else is not giving away his sats. The sats are not coming from thin air... are coming from an idiot that is taking in exchange the shitcoins.

The liquidity provider make a profit on the swap and buy back the bitcoins if he isn't moronic. Profits are measures in sats of course. In the end shitcoins have indeed been dumped on the market and everyone is happy.
True but sometimes the rat race leads you to lower your standards to just provide for your family. Don't blame all people for doing so out of necessity. We just have to hope that we'll never be in that situation ourselves.
