I'm not particularly well versed in the details but I think the overriding concept of private digital cash is essential. Physical cash (all other failings aside) that is stashed privately and spent as and when and wherever fundamentally works. This needs to extend to digital cash. Nice article.

Either we have privacy-preserving digital cash, or we have financial tyranny. Imo it's really that simple.

Absolutely, I need to understand it better (so I can communicate it to others more convincingly) otherwise I wholeheartedly agree.
