True, but by that logic, lightning is not Bitcoin, as it's not on the main chain. It's not perfect, but it's an improvement. I'll take what I can get.

Lightning is not dependent on a centralized mint that can rug you at any moment.
The same is true for most exchanges, yet people use them, and then with any significant amount of Bitcoin, move it to a self-custody wallet.
I don't see the problem here. What kind of nut (pun intended) would leave hundreds of dollars worth of Bitcoin in a cashew mint wallet?!
