Bitcoin Arithmetic #8 – The Treasure Hunt
Imagine a giant sandbox full of treasure chests. Every kid wants to find the treasure, but only one chest has a special key at a time. All the kids try different keys, and the first one to open the chest gets the treasure inside (new bitcoins!). Once the chest is opened, everyone sees it’s real and gets to add a note to the treasure map, so everyone knows where treasures have been found. This way, the sandbox stays fair, and no kid can sneak a treasure without the others knowing. That’s how the Bitcoin network keeps track of all coins safely.
