Main reasons are: 1. My wife and I have a baby on the way and I don’t want social media to be a big distraction and detract from my family life, so only having Nostr will be helpful. 2. I believe in the Nostr vision of decentralized social media. I don’t want anyone telling me what I’m allowed to say. I figured the best way to promote it is simply to use it and get off the other platforms. 3. I realized that I only care about a handful of people on those platforms. Most of my time scrolling was a huge waste of time, looking at things that I don’t even care about. Those that I truly care about I will text or call them, I don’t need to be on social media to keep in touch with them.
