Found a way to get zap.stream as an option on OBS, its just a json file! Would be nice if there was a way to auto-configure this though...

Whatnot has a method where they connect to your OBS via webhook and configure it automatically

Pushes all start/stop broadcast control to the whatnot web client. Auto configures per-show stream key. Pretty neat. https://help.whatnot.com/hc/en-us/articles/5497980244749-Using-OBS-with-your-Livestream

yea, smart. Would be good for manual streams actually! because you can publish nostr events when you start/stop pushing the stream with OBS to whatever stream server you're using.
