Yes, currently they are abused but lets if BIP-110 fixes those exploits. When BIP-110 activates we will have time to discuss it. At the moment I don't know which Bitcoin functionality depends on it or what are the exact consequences if taproot is removed. I think this needs very deep analyses that also includes potential positive effects of having it with closed weaknesses, meaning to be used as intended, for monetary transactions.

BIP-110 just a bandaid on a fundamentally flawed system, distracting from the real issue: centralized control by the likes of Blockstream and Adam Back.
