OpenStreetMap is a map of the world, created by people like you and free to use under an open license.

There is a wiki on how to get started or you can check out youtube tutorials. It's pretty easy to do basic edits or add add a business (aka point). Just try and be as accurate as possible. If you're unsure about something you're submitting you can check the box to have the edit reviewed by a more experienced mapper.
