I test zapped another user. It seemed to work OK. 🤷‍♂️

Just heard back from customer service. By default, Phoenix wallet uses a new Bolt12 lnurl format that hardly any other wallets are compatible with yet. Bolt12 is "just a few months old" apparently. Trying to decide if i should wait a bit or switch to another wallet. Btw, what wallet do you use, and are ypu happy with it?

I am using #coinos. It's custodial, but I only keep 10 bucks or so in it specifically for zapping on #nostr. I use #amethyst and I link my coinos wallet to #alby via NWC because that lets me zap natively in the amethyst app (without needing to open my wallet outside of the app).

It makes a lot of sense. Coinos should update or something. I'll repay your zap as soon as I can. If I had a working non-custodial solution I wouldn't switch either.

😯 Hey, no need to repay zaps bro. Forget about it. Tbh, i kinda like the ability to zap others knowing that hardly anyone (for now) can zap me. Fyi, i did take your suggestion and opened a coinos account but custodial options just aren't for me, sadly. "not my keys, not my sats, etc". If and when you're ready to upgrade to a self-custodial wallet like phoenix or others, let me know so i can send sats if you need liquidity or any help.
