I see zaps as a cool idea for which we are the guinea pigs for, for a potential future actual use case. (But yeah you're right there are current use cases like you're a dev getting some payment for their work, or you're buying honey off a farmer on here or something cool like that lol). But currently, unless you're a dev or something it's probably not a big deal to go zapless, I just post my silly little crap. And people are polite and zap me, more as a social (media) more ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯ which is nice. But I'll be posting my silly lil crap without the mechanism.
