We're having soup tonight. The high was 46 F. The low is in the 30s. The next to mornings will get close to freezing. We'll see if we go below freezing since we live in the river valley and the cold tends to sink to the lowest point.

Fall is my favorite season, too. Unfortunately we sometimes go from highs in the 80s to lows below freezing in about 2 weeks. Last year we had a wonderful long fall. We are getting some pretty good color right now. Today's high was 46 F and raining. That temp is nice when it is dry, but not when it is drizzling. It is possible we could get a freeze either of the next two mornings. We will see.
Yesterday, we had a high just shy of 80 F, but a low of 31 F. Then last night we had a brief hard rain. I don't ever remember us having so much rain in October. If we get precipitation in October, it is almost always snow.
