Offline password managers are the solution: KeePass
Thanks to law enforcement actions and others trying to force backdoors, not a single closed source software which includes elements of cryptography can be trusted.
I don't know who had such a fucked up idea, but this literally destroyed trust for closed-source apps. Probably forever. Congrats to whoever did this.
