Hopefully you’re using a good client.
I haven’t seen any of it on #Damus. The bots show up, but the images are greyed out so you don’t see anything.

I put up a filter and that took care of it.
I'm interested to try damus when it comes to grapheneOS, it was my first client on iPhone a few years ago
