Banning personal transactions that involve using open-source, community-written code is absurd.
They have to get their hands into everything.
I'm surprised governments haven't banned email providers so they can insist we all use government-issued email addresses -- and then charge us electronic "postage" for each message we send (all of which would have to be unencrypted, of course).
