My heart leans toward Monero, which has no corporate background, no wars over "trademarks" and none of the other ethical oddities that have plagued Zcash throughout the project's history.

Some people who consider themselves crypto-cypher punks and anarcho-capitalists/agorists suddenly realized that there is nothing wrong with... working with the state and regulators.
Well, it's not my place to judge them. :)
