AU person here with electric background. 3kw / 240volts is 12.5Amps (average). But the manual clearly states 20Amps. Most AU domestic circuits are 10A for ALL (total burst) outlets on that circuit. Hence the reason for 2 plugs. Even if your workshop had a 15A outlet for welders and such it might still blow the breaker/fuse). So you need to find 2 different circuits on your property. I do NOT recommend touching your main fuse box but there may be some sheet inside which says which rooms are in what circuit. Either way your missus ain't gonna like the extension cords snaking around the house or thru windows so I see a sparky in your future ๐Ÿ”ฎ Disclaimer: electrics will kill you. Nostr opinions and advise won't protect you from that. Take care. image

Thanks everyone. The workshop is on a 20Amp circuit by the looks of it. I have plugged it and and got it running and no issues so far. I haven't left it on for any real length of time though. Hour at most. I am thinking that I will need a sparky to come in. I got some previous work done and he had to change a breaker to be a 10amp because I have got single core cable. I don't like the thought of drawing a big load on that if it is no longer allowed a 20amp breaker. I can turn the miner on "low" mode so it isn't drawing as much but not sure how much less it is. I need to test it. I got a wattmeter the other day so I will have a look when I get a chance.
