"Working for your privacy" is a coping mechanism for an ecosystem that failed to build it into the protocol. A system made up of CoinJoin, Lightning and Tor isn’t exactly something to be proud of; because it’s a rather flimsy glass house. Chainalysis doesn't care about your hard work. CoinJoined BTC is routinely flagged, and major exchanges will freeze your account for it. Just look at the regulatory crackdowns on Wasabi, Tornado and Samourai. You aren't buying privacy, mate. You're just buying a blacklist. When privacy is opt-in, your anonymity set is tiny, which makes you an immediate target. You have to be flawless 100% of the time. The panopticon only needs you to slip up once -one bad UTXO consolidation- to unmask your entire financial history retrospectively. And also, if a coin can be rejected or valued less based on its past history, it fails the fundamental definition of money. What good is verifying the 21 million BTC supply if your specific satoshis are too "dirty" to be spent? Basic human rights shouldn't require a DevOps certification, amirite? Monero doesn't make you work for your freedom because freedom is a baseline, not an operational chore.

Chainalysis is just a symptom, the real disease is the surveillance state enabled by KYC/AML regimes forced by the likes of Janet Yellen and ECB.
