That's because we can't replace web servers with Nostr yet. I think Nostr could be way bigger than how we use it now. Like a low level protocol for serving entire websites. Maybe a relay would be the web server, for example. We definitely aren't there yet but I can't imagine social media is the only use case for this. I imagine a future where npubs can be resolved without a specific social media style client. Maybe even in a web browser.

Currently, unless you host a web server on your own metal and have an ISP plan that allows it, you don't own the land your website is on. Even DNS makes this impossible since "the land" is really your domain name in terms of the modern web and how we use it. You're perpetually renting the land, and it can be taken at any moment. That's the context for my thoughts on Nostr as a broader protocol. Maybe I'm crazy ๐Ÿ˜‚
