I actually was up and until Amethyst added what Onyx had (and still HAS) as a default. I wouldn't expect it since Tony has Mutiny to maintain, but is there anything differentiating Onyx from the base app?

They are effectively the same now. Amethyst made the spam filters configurable, Onyx has them off by default.
