All of the issues with 9mm guns you allude are a matter of training. And without at least basic training and regular visits to the range you won't be effective anyway. The advantage is the much higher power of each round and do not think you will place many of them on your target on the move, in a stressful situation.

The point is it’s easier overall, particularly for a woman. Most people don’t receive the required training anyway and your defensive means will usually take place within 10-20 feet anyway. I’d rather pull the trigger 5 times on target than 5 times with 1 on target and 4 elsewhere.
