In Canada they didn't go as far as to censor communication, but if they did then yes Nostr would absolutely help. I could also picture a situation where individual protestors have nostr accounts and get donations directly to their own wallets without the need for an organized effort!

In your opinion, what would a heavy handed government do in that situation where individual protestors get funding through NOSTR

Individual protestors could have a badge signed by an organiser to prove that they could be a legitimate target for donations. Moreover, the organiser could also set donation amounts on the badge to limit abuse. More importantly, the organiser signer could and should stay anonymous.

Personally I think truckers should organize. They are possibly the last union that could stand against corporate labor extortion. There are some factors in the industry that make this really difficult however. I’m interested in supporting a movement like this, is there any interest? I’m a retired small fleet owner so industry insider? Yeah I think 25 years of experience qualifies my opinions.
