The doom and gloom is the dumbest thing in this space. Not enough transactions because most people are using lightning? It's going to fail!
Too many transactions and no one can use the base layer without spending a lot? It's going to fail!
All this bullshit and guess what hasn't failed yet? People need to stop acting like they know how this should play out.
its really Not a Good Thing to have institutions coming in and a huge market cap,
but low usage.
Its not the way I prefer. But it doesn't make it any less of a useful tool in places where people are in need.
I agree. I think the shift is about getting into an abundance mindset, denominating in bitcoin and getting to work offering value. The rest is noise. And there is a LOT of it.
2 years ago I was using on chain weekly with Relai. Over the last year, I do maybe one transaction every other month. And only because fees are cheep, could do way less.
But my lightning usage is up and up.
Actually, there is. Remember, miner expenses were supposed to be replaced by fees before block rewards get to zero. No rewards means no miners...

You think blocks will be empty when the rewards are gone? Thats silly.

I believe nothing, I have no crystal ball and I couldn't care less either way. You said there is no time limit, well, there is. A year ago people would laugh if you said there would ever be empty blocks yet, here we are. Keep pretending it isn't happening.
